Gucci Mane is going to be spending six months locked up because of his probation violations. Gucci Mane confessed on his Twitter account that his addiction to lean was the reason behind his recent erratic behavior. The rapper even said he'd be checking into a rehab facility-- but will that be before or after he checks into jail? During GuWop's string of strange antics, he was arrested for having a firearm and weed in his possession. Court documents indicate that the rapper was charged with firearm possession by a convicted felon, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon and marijuana possession. Since the Atlanta native was already on probation, these charges are considered probation violations. For that, Gucci will be returning to a familiar location, prison, for a six-month sentence. Popes John Paul II & John XXIII will be declared as saints next year, current Pope Francis has announced. Francis announced the date during a meeting with cardinals inside the Vatican’s Apostolic Palace, and said the canonization is set for April 27, 2014. Francis had announced in July he would canonize two of the 20th century’s most influential popes together, approving a second miracle attributed to John Paul. John XXIII has been also credited with a miracle. The beatification of John Paul – which is a step toward sainthood – was started by his successor, Benedict XVI, after John Paul died in 2005. The Vatican said at the time that it waived its usual five-year waiting period to begin the process because of “exceptional circumstances,” according to The Guardian. A first miracle was attributed to John Paul in 2011, in which the Vatican said a French nun that was dying of Parkinson’s disease was cured after she and other nuns prayed for the intercession of John Paul.

A pastor in Lake Charles, Louisiana was on Friday shot and killed as he preached in his church. The man who shot him is allegedly Woodrow Karey, a 53-year-old deacon in the church. He is said to have called 911 and told the dispatcher what he had done. According to witnesses, Karey went into the church – Tabernacle of Praise Worship Centre – at around 8:20 p.m. and shot Pastor Ronald Harris two times. He shot him the first time as he entered the church and the second time at close range after he (Harris) fell on the floor. The suspect then fled the scene on foot but called the sheriff’s office later to surrender. The deacon has no known criminal record and his motive of killing his pastor is still unknown. His bond was set at $1million.
